My Approach

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected: 
  • Do you look at yourself in the mirror and wonder if you will ever feel as good about yourself as you used to feel?
  • Does lack of sleep or energy prevent you from exercising, causing you to feel progressively more disappointed in yourself for always disregarding your goals of being fit and healthy?
  • Do you have unwanted weight that desperately needs to be released, never to find it's way back to your body again?
  • Do you have so little time for yourself that you find yourself eating what is quick and easy and then overeating all of the wrong foods?
  • Do you have cravings, like sugar or any other cravings, that cause you to feel like you are out of control by not having balanced and healthful eating habits and not making good choices?
  • Are you overwhelmed with the many areas of your life and feel so unbalanced that you almost don't recognize the vital, happy and energized person you once were?
  • Because you spend so much of your time taking care of others and so little time taking care of yourself and doing what you love to do, you are beginning to quietly harbor resentments towards the people you love the most in the world?
  • Does the overall stress you feel, with your family, in relationships, at your job, and with all of the responsibilities that you have, leave you feeling like you are clawing to stay at the surface of the water, with no end in sight?
  • Does your lack of energy and vitality keep you from fully engaging in the daily activities you used to love to do?
  • Do you feel like you are losing control of your health and have symptoms of dis-ease in your body that are red flags that need to be addressed?
  • Have you been catching more colds, developed allergies, or been feeling like you are having progressively more nagging health challenges that no one has been able to help you with?
  • Does your gut feel 'off' as you are challenged with gas, bloating, constipation, stomach pain/aches or a myriad of other gut problems (remember, our gut is our second brain and the hub of our immunity)?
  • Do you feel like you can't feed your family in the healthy way you want to feed them, that it's too time consuming, complicated, and plain old difficult with everyone's varied tastes?
  • Do you simply feel brimming with questions about health and nutrition that you are trying to make sense of?

If you have answered YES to any of the above statements, your life can get much better than it feels at this moment in time.  And it is not, in any way, beyond your grasp. 

When working with my clients, I do not dwell on calories, carbs, fats and proteins.  I do not create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods or ways of engaging in your life. Instead, I work with each of my clients to help you create a happy, healthy, and balanced life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding, a way that fully addresses any area of your life that is stopping you from feeling fabulous in body, mind and spirit .The human body innately wants to be in balance and find homeostasis again. Becoming used to a new norm of how badly you feel (physically or about yourself on the outside) is simply not okay, as this is our one short life and you owe it to yourself to achieve greater things.  As we work together we determine the areas of your life that have created the imbalances and the ultimate goal is to achieve homeostasis once again.

Together we will work to reach your health goals in areas such as how to achieve your optimal weight, reduce your cravings, increase your vitality, improve your sleep and all elusive life-balance, as well as and maximize your sustained energy.  As we work together, you will develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, and you will implement lasting changes that will improve how you feel about yourself.  All of this will increase your hope and excitement for the future...... and these changes will last a lifetime!

Here are some concepts that we will explore during our work together:

1) Bio-individuality:  The concept of Bio-individuality is that each person has their own unique food and lifestyle needs on the principle of Bio-individuality. I will support you to make positive changes that are based on your own unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.  I use a personalized, holistic approach to insure that you will have great success.

2) Primary Food:   It's easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It's not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, a balanced life, regular physical activity and spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment.  When the primary foods are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired and fulfilling life.
